Garden Renovation Services

Whether you want a refreshed entrance or a more useful back garden, we tailor the work to your property, access and material choices.

Complete Garden Renovation

First, bring paving, paths, boundaries and grass areas together in one practical plan. We assess your existing garden, then record the work, materials and finish in a written quotation.

Patios & Garden Paving

Create a useful area for sitting, access or everyday outdoor use. Before we agree the work, we discuss paving choices, preparation, finished levels and water run-off for your garden.

Victorian Tiled Pathways

Give your front entrance a clear focal point with a patterned tiled pathway. We discuss the layout, edges, existing base and materials so the path works with your property.

Garden Walls & Boundaries

Repair or renew suitable garden walls and improve the entrance finish. First, we check the visible masonry. We then discuss brickwork, render and decoration within your chosen scope.

Fences & Garden Entrances

Discuss replacement fence sections, boundary details and access around your garden. Your quotation then sets out the proposed position, height, materials and any gate work.

Lawns & Grass Areas

Include a grass area in a wider garden refresh, with a layout that suits the space. Before work starts, we discuss the finish, ground preparation and aftercare.

BEFORE WORK STARTS

Preparing Your Garden Renovation

Understand the decisions, preparation and possible difficulties before you commit to the work.

01

Decide what your garden needs

First, plan seating, planting, paths, bin storage and the amount of maintenance you want. Bring photographs and ideas, then agree which plants, paving and features stay. A measured layout helps keep choices within your budget.

02

Access, deliveries & waste

Check gate widths, steps and whether materials must travel through the house. Also, agree protection, parking, delivery space and a collection point for waste. Restricted access can add handling time and affect the cost.

03

Clearance & ground preparation

Old slabs, concrete, roots or unsuitable ground may need removing. For example, clearance sometimes reveals buried rubble and soft patches. We then agree the preparation that suits the site and chosen surface.

04

A suitable base & finished levels

The supporting base, bedding and edging must suit the ground, paving system and intended use. Also, consider door thresholds, existing walls and inspection covers. No single excavation depth suits every garden.

05

Drainage & rainwater

Tell us where puddles collect after rain. For example, compaction, levels or other problems can cause poor drainage. Before agreeing new drainage, establish where water can safely go. New paving should not direct the problem onto neighbouring land.

06

Pipes, cables & existing structures

Identify known drains, water pipes and outdoor electrical supplies before excavation. Available plans help, but the team still needs to make appropriate checks. Also, unstable walls, significant movement or retaining structures may require further assessment.

07

Materials, patterns & practical use

Compare appearance, grip in wet weather, cleaning and product suitability for outdoor use. Then agree paving, tile patterns, borders, steps and joints together. Keep useful planting space and decide how you will look after the finished garden.

08

Disruption, weather & handover

Discuss noise, dust controls, safe access and arrangements for children and pets. However, rain, wet ground, material deliveries and curing times can affect the programme. Finally, agree when you can use the surfaces and what initial care they need.

What should your written quotation cover?

  • The measured area, removals, retained features and agreed new work.
  • Materials, paving pattern, supporting base, edging, joints and any drainage.
  • Deliveries, site protection, access arrangements and waste removal.
  • Price, tax where applicable, payment stages and any exclusions.
  • The expected programme and how unexpected ground problems or requested changes will be priced and agreed.
  • Handover, product care and any applicable workmanship or product guarantee terms.

Before your visit: send your postcode, photographs, approximate dimensions, access details and a description of what you would like to change.

A note on front garden paving

In England, impermeable front garden driveway surfacing over 5 m² generally needs planning permission unless rainwater drains naturally to a permeable area within the property. These householder rules have exceptions, including some property types and local restrictions. Walls, gates and dropped kerbs may need separate checks. Confirm the requirements for your property before starting.

How We Plan Your Garden Project

We plan the layout, preparation and finish with you. Together, we agree the scope before work starts.

01

Tell Us About Your Garden

First, send your postcode, photographs and the changes you have in mind. Also, let us know about access, steps or any areas you want to keep.

02

Free Site Visit

Next, Eneo looks at your existing garden, visible ground condition, boundaries and access. He then discusses the layout and finishes with you.

03

Written Scope & Quote

Review the agreed work, material choices, preparation and everything your quote includes. We also discuss the expected programme before you decide to go ahead.

04

Work & Handover

The work follows your agreed scope. Finally, we walk through the finished areas with you and discuss care or settling-in needs for the chosen materials.

GARDEN QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Planning Your Garden Renovation

Answers to the questions customers ask about planning, preparation, cost, disruption and aftercare.

What garden renovation work can you help with?

We can discuss a complete garden refresh or individual improvements such as paving, patios, tiled paths, garden walls, fences and grass areas. The exact work depends on your garden’s condition and layout. Your written quotation then confirms the scope.

Can you renovate a small front garden?

Yes. We can plan a small front garden around the entrance, path, boundaries and the space you want to use. First, photographs and a site visit help us discuss practical options without crowding the area.

Do you install patios and garden paving?

Yes, we can include patios and paving in your garden project. The material, intended use, existing surface and access all affect preparation and cost. Before starting, we discuss the finish and extent of the work.

Can you create a Victorian tiled front path?

Yes, we can discuss a patterned tiled pathway as part of your front garden renovation. Before quoting, we agree the pattern, tile choice, edging and preparation for the existing base.

Will you check levels and water run-off?

We consider the existing ground, proposed finished levels and how water will leave paved areas. If a drainage problem needs further investigation, we discuss it before agreeing the scope. Paving alone cannot solve an unresolved drainage issue.

Can you repair or rebuild garden walls?

First, we inspect the visible wall and discuss suitable repairs or replacement. Loose masonry, movement or instability may need further assessment before we can price the work. Your quote then sets out the agreed masonry and finish.

Can you render or paint garden walls?

We can prepare, repair and finish suitable garden walls as part of your project. First, we check the existing surface and consider moisture before agreeing render or paint. The finish must suit the wall and exposure.

Can fencing and gates be included?

Yes, we can discuss fencing or entrance improvements at the site visit. Please tell us which sections you own and what you would like to change. Before installation, we agree the position, materials, height and any gate work.

Can you include a lawn or grass area?

Yes, we can discuss a grass area within your garden renovation. First, we consider the size, use and visible ground condition. We then agree the finish and preparation, and explain the initial care for your chosen materials.

Can you work where garden access is limited?

Tell us about narrow side passages, steps, shared access or access through the house. These affect how the team moves materials and waste, so they can change the cost and programme. We check the arrangements during the visit.

Do I need permission for garden work?

This depends on the proposed changes and your property. For example, boundary changes, new front paving and protected properties can need checks. Tell us about any restrictions or permissions you already know about. We can then agree the scope on that basis.

What happens to the existing paving and garden waste?

First, we agree what to remove and whether your quotation includes disposal. Also, tell us if you want to keep existing paving, soil, planting or other materials for reuse before work starts.

How much does garden renovation cost?

Cost depends on the area, existing condition, preparation, access and materials. For example, a simple paving refresh and a full front garden renovation involve different work. We offer a free site visit and a written quote for your chosen scope.

How long will the work take?

The programme depends on the scope, site access, preparation, material availability and weather. After viewing the garden, we agree the work and discuss an expected timeframe. Also, some areas need time to dry or cure before you can use them.

Are materials included, and can I choose the finish?

Your written quotation makes clear which work and materials the price includes. Before ordering, we discuss paving, tiles, boundary finishes and other relevant choices. If you plan to supply materials yourself, let us know when requesting the quote.

How do I arrange a free site visit?

Contact Eneo with your postcode, a short description and photographs of the garden. We work across West London, including Ealing, Acton, Hanwell, Chiswick and Hammersmith. We can then discuss your location and a suitable visit time.

What if hidden problems are found after digging starts?

Old foundations, buried rubble, soft ground or damaged drainage can affect the proposed work. First, ask how the team will assess the issue and what options you have. Before any additional work proceeds, we explain and agree proposed changes to the scope, price or programme.

Will I still be able to use the entrance?

Tell us if the garden contains your only entrance or if anyone needs step-free access. Before starting, we plan temporary access, working areas and any periods when you cannot use a route.

How do you manage dust, mess and neighbours?

At the visit, discuss the cutting area, surface protection, working hours and waste collection. The team needs suitable dust controls and safe working arrangements. Also, advance notice can help neighbours plan around deliveries and noisy work.

Can plants, trees or existing materials be kept?

First, point out everything you want to keep before clearance. The layout can then take those features into account. Significant roots, protected trees or planting that needs specialist care may require further advice before digging or removal.

How do I look after the finished paving and lawn?

Care depends on your chosen products and planting. First, confirm cleaning methods, initial watering, curing restrictions and when you can walk on the area. Then follow the product-specific care instructions, as different surfaces need different treatment.

Is a guarantee included?

Before accepting the quotation, ask for the applicable workmanship and product guarantee terms in writing, including their scope, period and exclusions. These terms depend on your agreed work and materials. Therefore, ask which guarantee applies to each garden service.

I was nervous finding a plasterer in London but after reading Eneo’s reviews I thought he’d be great. He was communicative, always on time and with clear expectations throughout. The plastering job is so beautifully done, I’m relieved we went with Eneo. I’d recommend Eneo to anyone looking for a plasterer, and we hope to use him again. Sophie & Joe

Very happy with the installation and painting of two plaster ceiling roses. Eneo took the time to also insert a support structure in the ceiling cavity, which we hadn’t planned for. Eneo is friendly, reliable, and left a clean work area. I would recommend him and happily use again.

Eneo and his team helped us renovate the ceilings, fix all the cracks, and paint the walls in our victorian flat. It was challenging work, but they did a great job and we love the final look. Eneo is reliable, honest, hardworking and doesn’t cut corners. He clearly takes a pride in his work. Would not hesitate to recommend.

We were recommended Eneo and his team by a friend and we are so happy we hired him.Work hasn’t quite finished but I’ll definitely follow up with some photos when it’s done .We hired Eneo to completely renovate our very sad front garden. It was all different levels of old concrete and the fencing was in a very poor state.Well Eneo has transformed it .He’s paved the space apart from a small bed and has created a beautiful Victorian tiled pathway with a tiled border.Eneo is a great guy and really has a passion and enthusiasm for his work.He will work weekends if there’s been heavy rainfall during the prior week.He will offer great creative advice and will even source materials and WhatsApp them to you! The other thing is he’s really quick without losing any quality of work.We would absolutely recommend Eneo and his team.We are going to hire him for other projects in the New Year , if we can get him-he’s very popular!!!

Eneo and his team did a brilliant job replacing my 120-year old lath & plaster ceiling with insulated, acoustic plasterboard, keeping the decorative coving then plastering, painting and making good. Communication was excellent and he and his team are very polite. I've already discussed the next job I need doing so hope to be working with this company again. Highly recommended!

Eneo and his team completed a full house renovation for us this year. After losing our beloved father unexpectedly last year, continuing with the renovation was bittersweet, especially without his guidance in choosing the right builders. When my uncle recommended Eneo, we truly couldn’t have been more grateful. From day one, the team was reliable, punctual, and incredibly hardworking. They were transparent about costs, honest when unexpected issues arose during demolition, and thoughtful in the way they handled our older home, which needed some extra attention. Their pricing was very reasonable, and their dedication to bringing our vision to life was evident in every detail. The final result has exceeded our expectations—we’re absolutely thrilled with how the house has turned out. I’ve included before-and-after photos because the transformation speaks for itself. Throughout the entire process, the team was polite, trustworthy, and a pleasure to work with. We had virtually no issues, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering a renovation.
