The before-and-after photographs show the same frontage changing from a weathered grey surface to an even cream finish. The refreshed colour gives the elevation a brighter appearance while keeping its window surrounds and architectural details clearly defined.

Refresh living rooms, bedrooms and hallways with carefully prepared surfaces and a finish chosen for the way each room is used.
Painting for ceilings, coving and ceiling details, with surface condition and any staining checked before decorating.
Preparation and repainting of interior woodwork, using a compatible system for the existing surface and your chosen finish.
Exterior painting for suitable walls and previously painted surfaces, with preparation and weather conditions considered before work starts.
Wall and ceiling finishes selected for the room, with attention to ventilation, moisture and the condition of the existing paint.
Assessment of small cracks, holes and loose paint before filling, sanding and priming where appropriate. Recurring defects need their cause checked first.
A real example from our completed work.

Before: the existing grey finish shows visible marks and cracks, with areas masked in preparation for the work.
After: the frontage has a consistent cream finish, with a clear contrast around the windows and entrance.
The photographs show the visual result of this completed project. For your property, we first assess the surface and agree any preparation or repairs needed before painting.

Questions about cracks, peeling paint, new plaster or the right preparation? These answers explain what we consider before decorating. The work and paint system for your property are agreed after a site visit.
We assess the crack and the surrounding surface first. Small, stable surface defects may be filled and prepared before repainting. A crack that keeps returning, becomes wider or suggests movement needs further investigation before a decorative repair is agreed.
Paint is a decorative coating; it cannot correct movement or an unresolved moisture problem. We discuss what preparation can achieve and explain when the underlying cause should be checked by an appropriate professional.
Preparation depends on the surface. It can include protecting the room, removing loose paint, cleaning, filling suitable defects, sanding and removing dust. Surfaces need to be sound and dry, with priming specified where the chosen coating requires it.
Loose coatings need attention before repainting. We check for adhesion problems, moisture or poorly prepared layers, remove unsound material and prepare a stable surface. Simply covering loose paint can lead to another failure.
The source of moisture needs to be addressed before decorating. Painting over dampness or mould does not fix a leak or condensation problem. The surface must be suitably dry and prepared before an appropriate coating is considered.
First, the source of the stain must be resolved and the surface allowed to dry. Where appropriate, we specify a compatible stain-blocking treatment before the finishing coats, following the product instructions.
New plaster must be ready for decoration before paint is applied. Drying depends on the plaster, thickness and room conditions. The first coat or primer is selected for that surface and paint system; any dilution follows the manufacturer’s instructions, rather than one fixed ratio for every product.
No single primer suits every surface. Bare or absorbent areas, repaired patches, stained surfaces and some existing finishes may need different preparation. We choose a compatible primer or undercoat where the surface and coating system require one.
The number of coats depends on the product, surface, colour change and coverage achieved. We allow for the specified drying time between coats and agree the paint system in the quotation rather than promise the same number for every job.
We discuss appearance, room use and cleaning needs. A low-sheen finish may suit walls and ceilings, while busy areas or woodwork may need a different finish. The final choice should be compatible with the surface and the manufacturer’s intended use.
Yes. We can include suitable interior doors, frames and skirting in the painting quotation. The existing coating and condition are checked so that preparation and the finishing system can be agreed before work begins.
Exterior painting needs suitable surface and weather conditions. Damp surfaces, rain, frost and unsuitable temperatures can affect the result. Scheduling and application should follow the selected product’s instructions.
We agree which areas need to be cleared and protected before starting. The quotation can set out preparation, protection and the work included, so you know how the room will be managed during decorating.
Cost depends on the area, condition of the surfaces, access, preparation and chosen finish. We offer a free site visit and a written quotation. The scope should make clear which surfaces, preparation and materials are included.
Timing depends on room size, repairs, access and drying between stages. We discuss the expected programme after inspecting the property; a room with failing paint or damp-related damage needs a different plan from a straightforward repaint.
